As a Catholic, I cannot tell you how disappointing it is to watch the Catholic Church remain silent on these issues. The "velvet mafia" in the hierarchy goes a long way to explain the silence on these issues. Chicago's Cardinal Cupich goes so far as to prohibit priests from praying in front of abortion clinics.

For maybe 5 years now, I've tuned in to Relevant Radio, a nationwide Catholic station, every few days. It was explained that in one of the Marian apparitions, Mary warned that the final battle between good and evil would be fought over the family, an eerily prescient statement made decades ago.

As a former Democrat horrified at what the party has become (literally celebrating the destruction of human life in the womb/denying the reality of sex), US progressivism does indeed feel like a religious movement: satanism...

I actually just yesterday ordered Taylor Marshall's book "Infiltration". I don't know what you think of that book... I don't know what I think of that book, yet. But I found the thesis intriguing anyway.

I checked it out on Amazon and it's very similar to an excellent, well-documented book I finished last month, "Goodbye, Good Men." That was a revelatory read and goes a long way to explain the Catholic Church's silence or acquiescence to the insanity gripping the world.

About a decade ago, after reading some of the works of Catholic mystics, I eagerly signed up for a weekend seminar on Christian contemplation hosted by Fathers Laurence Freeman and Richard Rohr. On the last day, during a Q & A session, Richard Rohr--unprompted--declared that he did not believe in the "supernatural Jesus." Goodbye, miracles and Resurrection. Hello, CS Lewis' mad man! These men cannot recite the Nicene Creed in good faith yet they remain in the priesthood. Unbelievable.

The faith lives on in the people more than in those tasked to lead it, it seems.

There is, as you wrote, no moral equivalence between the two sides. Reality, family, and even what it means to be human are under assault. This evil needs to be opposed fiercely.

Why America? I'm not in deep tune with progressives' emotionalism, but isn't it clear that young white U.S. adults who vote Democratic have a unique fixation on race and historical guilt? Sex changes and masking, and the covid vaccines, aren't overtly tied to that, but I think it's all part of the same ideological/moral/emotional river for them. They believe they can redeem themselves only by advancing programs that reprogram society.

Because, if the globalists can destroy the US, and pushing this “reality” onto the American masses is indeed destructive, then down goes the rest of the world into their evil hands.

I have indeed had a thought like that. For all of its problems, the US is still special, and in a good way. Christianity is still a decent influence here. Therefore it is particularly important to weaken America.

I’ve been thinking about this very thing. I think our enemy who walks about like a roaring lion would pervert the very image of God….mankind, made in his image. I’ve been thinking too, that one of the reasons we are in this place, is because we have not forcefully said this is wrong! About this and many other things. We cannot pussyfoot around any longer. To love is to speak the truth. In our effort to show love and not offend we’ve accepted the things that are ruining our society and our family unit. I need to stand up and speak the truth in love.

A lot of battles today come down to whether there is an order to the universe and it is our duty as humans to find our place within that order, or whether really there is no order that ought to be respected and we can rework nature, including ourselves, however we'd like.

I hope this makes sense I’ve been awake since 3:30 am and my thoughts are a bit disjointed. David, you say things so well and are an excellent writer. I have the thoughts in my head but they don’t always make sense on paper. 😁
