They way I usually try to explain this to someone who supports Biden's policy roadmap is "If Trump wins in 2024, do you want Trump to be able to order you to take a vaccine that his administration approved despite the objections of Democrats?"
There's no constitutional provision for "vaccine mandates only need to be obeyed when they originate from a leader that I trust but my opponents don't". Either that power exists and is equally accessible to anyone elected in the future, or else it doesn't exist now at all.
I was encouraged by the sermon, so thank you for bringing it to my attention. Of course, it brings up the question - why is that a rare message, one that is over 2,000 miles away? Really, what are other pastor's reactions to it and how is it justified that they can't come to the same points?
