My gardening skills continue to improve, with that have definitely come some fails. Like radishes, how can’t grow radishes?? Even my carrots are measly. Took a couple years and many YT videos to learn to trim my zucchini’s and to hand pollinate then to ensure production. Don’t ask me about the garlic I wasted last fall. I too, only bought two strawberry plants, but I plan on allowing them to speed a little so I can rotate the old plants out after a couple years. Gardening is quite amazing!
It helps to keep in mind that these plants want to grow, and know how to do it. You don't need to do a lot for them other than provide a tolerable growing environment. The fruit of the plants is different, because there are creatures other than you who want to eat it.
Our raised planter is a warzone where we make tactical mistakes all the time. Last year, the Zucchini dominated everything. This year, the tomatoes came back with a vengeance and overran the Zucchini (and the strawberries, for good measure).

Great post, David! Inspiring. I need to add water storage to the todo list.
